Won't get items

We got our stuff months after the promised delivery date. We got multiple boxes of other people's belongings and had multiple boxes of our own stuff missing. Also charged way more than they quoted. Use them at your own risk.

Damaged property doorframe scratched floors dings in walls

Absolute Amateurs Dragged furniture across wood flooring rather than have Two people carry it forced furniture though tight space Even though alternative passage was available. Just ripped bed frame off rails leaving bent screws on floor Didn’t even attempt to use a screwdriver. I have not had my furniture delivered to my New address yet and they have asked for another $2000 in Cash. I feel involved in a shakedown. I am concerned as to the condition of my furniture when it arrives and is offloaded

Hello,

I’m sorry that you did not have a positive experience, although I most say, upon discovery of who preformed your move it is to my knowledge that you requested movers to move bulky items through a tight space all though it was advised to you that damages may occur. The additional entrance also was very tight. The screw that you took a picture of also has been replaced. Your items have already been delivered and you posted this review, what do you mean you haven’t gotten your delivery? I’m confused & concerned. Additionally adding more items will add more to your total costs, we accept postal money order, check, cash, and debit cards on the day of the move. Why? So that we can have funds readily available to us for operational expenses allowing us to preform your move. If we take a credit card on move day, your truck would be required to stop at a warehouse until funds have been cleared, which takes 3-4 business days. You were not involved in a shake down, you added more items and were asked to pay for the add ons. We own the trucks yes, however we will not allow anything to go on the truck for free, a few boxes? Perhaps, however not a substantial amount of inventory. I also discovered that you did not sign up through Prime Moving & Storage. You utilized brokering services and the brokers subcontracted the job to us. Regrettably I accepted the job and now we are here, that broker has been fired. In the future for anyone who is reading this please deal directly with the carrier (Moving Company) not a broker, as moving brokers will under quote a job leave out details such as living room and hallway space, than leave it to the moving company to handle the clients frustrations.

This Client is the absolute worst client to ever deal with every moving companies night mare. I take full blame for it because I should have known to expect this given the fact that he only wanted to pay 2,000.00 for a move that’s almost 2,000.00 miles. So what am I to pay my men? What about the fuel, what about the materials? However I took his word for it as he said that he had very minimal items. I took his card info for a deposit and sent him over a contract, he then signed, that’s when things began to get mixy. Since signing up he called every single day because his deposit was not charged and every single day a agent assured him that having his card on file was acceptable enough for us to hold the reservation. Still, he kept calling. On the day of the move the movers arrived and called me to state that he added additional items and they were at twice the size he said they would be so at that point the estimate went up because it is a substantial increase. He agreed to the charges, understood and we loaded his belongings. This client signed up for a shared load to save money on overall costs, we advised him to opt into receiving insurance. In order to do so you pay a deductible based on value of item and your items are fully insured. Client declined, we serve at least 3-400 accounts per month so damages happen rarely, but they do happen. Client understood shared load process yet called every single day demanding for immediate delivery. When we arrived to deliver belongings the movers noticed that the truck to clients house hood distance was beyond 100 feet and as per the contract if that is the case you would be charged for it. Client did not want to pay more than 150.00 for it when costs were 400.00. He reluctantly paid the fee because other wise he would be in breach of contract. Upon items being dropped off he then calls me and says that he had no choice but to pay hut he will dispute his deposit. We have w contract and it clearly states that if you dispute a deposit after services being rendered a claim will be filed against you. This client doesn’t care, all this client cares about himself. No compassion for movers and the hard work that they put in, evidently he views them as a object. To accommodate client I sent him a zelle for the long carry fee. And it is disheartening to see this as his response. As for your damages I am sorry that this happened, however when you lack your items yourself and just throw glass in a box with no protective materials around it damages are bound to happen. The same goes for your TV. Prime Movers will not be held liable for damages that have been packed by client. This case is clear client wanted a bargain tried to take advantage and it caught up to him. For any future client who is reading this, please be responsible, please if you’re packing your own items do so professionally, please purchase insurance. It is very affordable. And please be fair.

Prime Moving and Storage - Crooks!

Beware Prime Moving and Storage company - this 100% fraudulent establishment! They are crooks and will take advantage of you anyway they can. They use switch and bait tactic. This can be as overblown estimate, or packing half-empty or even empty boxes, and they will charge you for them (yes, as crazy as it sounds, we found couple of empty boxes “nicely packed”).

If you are willing to take a risk and hire Prime Moving and Storage, you must keep very tight account on all your belongings, especially, if you hire this company to pack your stuff, and if you have big move with a lot of boxes. If you do not keep tight tab on your things, they may lose a box or two. We found that we are missing an item that did not make the trip.

I had to arrange elderly couple, in their 80’s, moving from out of state and was not there to monitor packing and loading, so I hired a moving company for full service. On day of packing and moving, Prime Moving and Storage showed up and told us that the original moving company sub-contracted this job to them. We were under great time pressure, and it was too late to deal with this, so we had to go along with Prime Moving and Storage. What a huge mistake!

First thing they did, as soon as they packed and loaded half the stuff (based on old folks’ observation, as I was not there), they stated that we have more stuff vs estimated by a prime contract, thus the total for the move is higher. Old folks agreed to pay more, much more!

Furthermore, Prime Moving and Storage use unqualified labor! As result, furniture was poorly packed and came broken and had to be DISCARDED! Some fragile things in boxes are broken. Their use unqualified helpers, as in our case I confirmed when they arrived to unload, they used students that want to make quick cash! Their “helpers” dragged heavy boxes, damaging floors. When or if you do not watch, they dropped boxes or stack-up heavy boxes on the top of boxes marked “Fragile”. They also damaged few things on common property and we have to deal with association now, addressing the damage. Prime Moving and Storage and their help simply do not care!

Lastly, instead of arriving on time, they came 6 hours later and only were able to finish unloading by about mid-night. Considering this is condo association and the move must be complete by 5:00PM, this is a big ussie now. Unfortunately, we had no control over schedule, as when I requested to re-schedule to next business day, I was told the move will be delayed by a month! Try to live without your belongings for a month!

The original contact included unpacking and re-assembly of furniture. All these was flatly denied on the spot!

I want to repeat: Prime Moving and Storage are crooks! Be careful if, regardless of warning, you choose to hire them.

I do not understand how we can be considered a fraudulent establishment if you have received your belongings. As you stated in this review YOUR job was subcontracted to Prime Moving and Storage last minute because no one wanted to accept the job for the rate that you were given. Unfortunately to help out the broker we accepted the job at that rate but not at the volume . You were quoted for less than 1,000 cubic feet and you were at more than double that. Your clients furniture took up a whole semi tractor trailer. At that point of course you would have to pay more. Damages sometimes can happen unfortunately, especially when you’re traveling upwards of 1,000 miles. Please forward over your claim to Sales@primemoversbooking.com so that we can assist with damages. For anyone reading this please do not deal with brokers deal directly with the moving company so that you can get a accurate estimate.

Fraudulent Company! Do not use!!!

Prime Moving and Storage is owned by [NAME EDIT]. He over charges, hires unqualified unprofessional men who don’t care. Because they didn’t wrap anything around 70% of my moms things were damaged or broken. Yet they charged her $3,500 for shipping supplies. She is a sweet 75 year old lady they took advantage of. They don’t take care of things. They kept asking for more money. They held her things hostage for a couple of weeks. She paid them close to $90,000 and now she has hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage. I am starting a class action lawsuit against [NAME EDIT]. If you have been a victim of there scams please email me riverlilyproperties@gmail.com

My mom is heart broken. This was her first cross country move and they really took advantage of her. The storage company we like [NAME EDIT] said he has never seen a move this bad in all his years. They also damaged his wear house.

I’m sorry I do not know who a [NAME EDIT] is I am looking up your file and I do not know who you are, please make sure you are writing a review on the correct entity. Who did you sign up with originally? All of our movers wear uniform. And paying 90,000$ for a move container a 26 foot box truck makes absolutely no sense. This review is very fraudulent and makes absolute no business sense what so ever. What you should have done was get in contact with the FBI if you truly did pay that amount of money to any carrier. Likely this review is fake coming from w competitor, however I wish you well.

The worse company

Statement to Prime Moving and Storage

Christian and Jamie Graciano

Date: 10/6/21

9/12/21

- Estimation contract provided by your employee named “Corey” after doing a face time call to

view the items that were stated to be part of the moving. Prime movers quoted us an estimate

of $3,555.25

- Contract electronic signed by Christian agreeing to the estimate

9/24/21

- Pickup day. Prime Moving and Storage come to our home at the time (29 Hawthorne Ave,

Clifton NJ )with a 26foot truck. Employee named “Max” arrived and said that our items were

going to exceed the original quoted cubic feet and will result in a higher final cost. We were not

happy that Corey had provided us with such an inaccurate estimation. We agreed however,

then Max and the movers started to load up the truck.

- Sexual Harassment. After all items were loaded. Max asked my husband Christian Graciano,

if he could provide a ride home to one of the movers while he started the paperwork with me at

home. Max said he just wanted to have everything ready for him so that we could be done with

this. My husband agreed since the worker didn’t seem to have a way to get home. Everyone

had left the home and it was just Max and I in the kitchen of my home. Max had started to fill

out the carbon copies for the Order for service, Interstate Bill of Lading and Freight Bill, and

Supplemental agreement to the binding Estimate on the island kitchen counter. He was pacing

back and forth out of breath often long after the workers left. This guy is much bigger than me

in terms of height and weight. I’m not sure what’s going on, but I try to remain at ease, after all I

don’t know this person. While he was completing his paperwork, he was trying to initiate small

conversation which I was not trying to engage with. I simply stated, we will wait for my husband

to arrive since all paperwork has been started with him. With no solicitation on my part, Max

then proceeded to talk about his work life, and then began talking about how he manages and

tends to his sexual urgencies while away from his family. I immediately felt an unnerving level of

discomfort and fear for my safety in my home. I have never had someone disrespect me as a

person, a wife and mother of children in my very own home. I was scared, I didn’t know if this

person was going to harm me or if he intentionally set this up since he himself had asked my

husband to provide his mover with a ride. I stated nothing and instead called my husband right

away in front of him and asked him to please hurry home. In my attempt to absolutely stop Max

from continuing his conversation or any other possible harmful acts, I told Max that my husband

was around the block from the house. Chris arrived soon after.

- Completing the carbon copies documents. My husband repeatedly asked Max if these were

the final charges or if there were going to be more charges associated with this delivery. Max

said stated no, this all you have to pay. Max asked us when we would like this to be delivered

on one of the carbon copies we indicated that we wanted a delivery for Wednesday Sept 29th.

Max was paid in cash a total of $5,000 which has been indicated on the Order for Service. Max

provided my husband with the owners information. The owners info as provided by Max is:

Kalib #0741

9/27/21 Transit to Florida. My husband and I, and two children ages 5-8, headed to Florida in

our own vehicle with some rush as we wanted to ensure that we’d arrive at ease the night

before our moving shipment would. We arrived to Florida Tuesday night September 28th

around 9pm. It was an exhausting trip as we took minimal stops to make sure we could avoid

additional surprises from the moving company as we were already off to a bad start.

9/29/21 Waiting for the moving truck. My husband sent a text message to Kaleb, if anynone needs proof I have it. crgbills@gmail.com

Damaged and stolen property

I have been waiting for my second delivery truck for over a month now. Multiple days have been promised to be delivered where we have had to stay home to accept delivery and they didn't show or call. DO NOT HIRE. Several of my items on my first truck were damaged in transit. I received my mattress wet because they strapped it to the outside of the truck. Dealing with them has cost us emotional stress and loss of wages.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $17000

Official company response

Hello,

You have asked the movers to strap the mattress on top of the truck because you did not want to pay the extras for a mattress which was about 80.00 USD. Please provide me photos of your damages. It is to my knowledge that the dents on your standard furniture were already there and our movers took photos of the condition of your items prior to loading. You told a representative at prime moving and storage that you needed a 26 foot box truck we arrive and you needed two 26 foot trucks. Moving is not easy nor is it inexpensive when you are traveling long distance. You also packed the items yourself Prime Moving and storage will not be held liable for damages packed by client. However if you can send me some photos of your claimed damages I would be more than happy to make an exception and accommodate to your requests.

Brian Kingsley, I am sorry that you have had such a bad experience. My sales persons had explained to me what has happened and it is to my knowledge that you were quoted for a 26 foot box truck originally. I listened to the recording and your wife’s main focus was the best price. When the sales person asked for information in regards to inventory your wife was very dismissive and just wanted pricing. Unfortunately Evelyn your sales person did what your wife was asking and this caused a huge mess as a 26 foot box truck could not accommodate your move you needed TWO. At this point you needed a semi tractor trailer but you did not want to pay for a exclusive load as that would cost 20,000$ You reluctantly paid the 11,000.00 therefor yes there is a wait for persons signing up for shared loads and the wait is 31 business days. Please file a coal in with us if you have any damages. This review is not fair and is unreasonable throughout this whole deal I haven’t spoken to you once. Your partner signed up for a shared load and this is what a shared load process entails. For anyone reading this if you do not like the idea of a shared load please discuss with your project manager other options.
